We are not currently accepting books. Our most recent submission window closed on February 10th. We will reopen when we have made it through all of these submissions. You can still currently submit to our literary magazine (information below) on the theme of Space.
open: 18TH JANUARY ‘19 - 24th FEBRUARY ‘19
Seeking: Fiction, NON-FICTION, POETRY.
The 404 Ink magazine is set for an exciting rebrand and relaunch (more to be revealed...) and we're looking for your work to feature.
Issue 5 will be released in July 2019 and will be based on the theme of Space. We're seeking interpretations as vast as the galaxy itself. What comes to mind when you think of Space? Another realm? Personal boundaries? How to take up your space? We can't wait to hear your ideas.
To get you thinking, we'd suggest keywords of science, boundaries, existence and mystery. But feel free to let your imagination run riot!
From now on, the magazine will be structured in thematic pairs. We're kicking things off with Issue 5: Space partnered with Issue 6: Earth. So get your thinking caps on, it's never too early to start planning your next submission.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
The magazine features fiction, non-fiction and poetry. We are not accepting submissions of comics for this issue (for now, at least). Please follow our submission guidelines (below).
Notes regarding publication in the 404 Ink magazine:
- Open to all genres, providing they relate to the theme of Space
- Due to the volume of submissions we receive, priority will be given to those pieces that appear most relevant to the theme
- We are open to both new and established writers
- Submissions must not have been previously published
- All contributors are paid, as well as receiving a free copy
To submit your work for consideration, please send your piece in a word document (format .doc or .docx - not via Google Drive, WeTransfer or in a zipped folder). Word limits are as follows:
Fiction: 2,000 words, one piece
Non-fiction: 2,000 words, one piece
Poetry: up to three poems
We ask that you also include a 50 word bio with your submission.
Please format your email subject as: Submission – SPACE – [FICTION/NON-FICTON/POETRY] – Your Name – Title
And address submissions FAO Imogen (new team and all...).
Send your submissions, manuscripts and supporting documents to email@example.com. We aim to get back to everyone within six weeks of submission (though this is not always possible) for books, and within one month of the deadline for the magazine; we always reply to everyone with the outcome of their submission. Please note:
We do not accept postal submissions.
We only read submissions that follow our guidelines.
We can currently only read submissions sent within our submission windows.
If you have any further queries, you can contact us here.
