We were posting some all caps tweets recently about a string of good news, and we’re stoked to tell you the latest: the audio rights to Chris McQueer’s Hings and HWFG have been bought by Audible!

Penguin Books have acquired the rights to Helen McClory’s The Goldblum Variations, and will be publishing a new version later this year!

3 adapted stories from 404 Ink’s bestselling HINGS will air on BBC iPlayer on May 9th!

We recently did an event about running an indie publisher and were firing out our numbers left, right and centre. We’ve found that people are quite protective of their numbers, which isn’t helpful to small publishers trying to find their way in the industry. So, if you’re interested in running a small press we hope you find this useful. If you’re just nosy (also valid), we hope this satisfies that itch.

As we wrap down for the holidays, we wanted to look back on another wild year for 404 that included brilliant books and authors, support beyond our wildest dreams, and - somehow - Jeff Goldblum.

The year is almost over but we’re not done with the announcements just yet. We’re chuffed to tell you that in Autumn 2019 we’ll be publishing human rights campaigner Jemma Neville’s debut Constitution Street.
